Heavy Duty USB Isolation
The UHR401 and UHR402 are one and two port 4 kV USB isolators with heavy industrial EMC specifications and our signature high retention USB connectors. The 4 kV Isolation protects expensive equipment from dangerous ground loops and helps ensure data integrity. The Heavy Industrial EMC specifications allow these isolators to operate in unfriendly electrical environments – such as near variable frequency drives, motor control centers, welding, and other large electrical loads. The high retention USB connectors hold standard USB cables tight and are perfect for high vibration applications, requiring a minimum of 3.2 lbs.-force to disconnect them. The products have also been tested for shock, drop, and vibration. Due to the nature of isolation and USB, bandwidth is limited to 12 Mbps..

Details
The UHR401 and UHR402 are powered from an external 10 to 30 VDC power supply unit. The product is packaged with an AC adapter that includes international receptacle blades, so it is ready for use in the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom. If you need to use an industrial power source, a power cable with stripped and tinned leads on one end and a locking barrel plug on the other can be purchased separately – select model number PSPT-LB. The downstream ports provide up to 500 mA of power to connected USB devices. Unlike our UH201 and UH401 series isolators, these products are able to switch between 1.5 Mbps and 12 Mbps based on the requirements of the downstream device. However, High Speed (480 Mbps) is not supported due to isolation chip technology. Read our USB Isolation Tech Note for additional details. They are packaged in a rugged IP 30 plastic housing with built in panel mount brackets. If you need to mount them to a standard 35mm DIN rail, our DRAD35 adapter clips can be used.
